Hello,

I met Teo at Villa Lobos on 1/23/10. I went to help with the dog walking, and found out about this site and the work that's being done to help the wolves.

All of our children have paws and tails.

We have 3 rescued dogs, and a Wolf/Husky Hybrid that's about 9 months old now.

We live in the Mojave Desert near Edwards Air Force Base on 2 1/2 acres. We have almost no neighbors, and lots of open desert around us. Being 2 1/2 miles down a dirt road, we have little to no traffic, which is excellent for the kids.

We pretty much have the kids on a schedule, up between 6 & 7, walk around the property, into a large "kennel" type area for breakfast - play time - napping, a walk around the property in the afternoon/evening, back to the kennel area for more play time - food - etc, another walk before bed, and into the house, and 2 into crates in the kitchen (for safety reasons) the other 2 in their beds also in the kitchen all tucked in for the night.

Luckily, I telecommute. This allows me to keep an eye on them all day long. We have their kennel area right outside the window where my desk is set up. I can make sure no one is trying to escape, do something they shouldn't, and I can rescue poor helpless delivery people from a rather loud reception.

We are truly blessed to have these 4 unique personalities, backgrounds, wants, needs, etc. get along so well. Peanut and Max were rescued from shelters within a year of each other, and have been best friends ever since. Along came Hi-De from a bad situation, and she was welcomed into the family with wagging tails and lots of kisses. Hi-De was shy and reserved, and needed a lot of special human attention. Soon after Koda was brought into the mix.

Adding Koda to our family helped Hi-De in more ways then we ever thought possible. He brought her confidence and trust levels to a height we didn't think would be possible. Hi-De and Koda are the best of friends. They love to wrestle, play tag, ball, and generally harass each other - in a good way.

Each one offers a unique challenge to the day. With these 4 different personalities we face a variety of ways to test the rules and limits. I must admit that it's never a dull moment, and we have to work to stay one step or should I say paw ahead of them.

I cannot believe how lucky we are to have these 4 babies!
